Sherman H. Peirce, O.D.
Raised in Sandy, Utah, Doctor Peirce (yes, it is spelled Peirce not Pierce) has been with South Hills Eye Care since early 2008. He graduated with distinction from Pacific University in 2005 as a Doctor of Optometry. His undergraduate work was completed at the University of Utah where Dr. Peirce earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications. Dr. Peirce is fully licensed in Utah including therapeutic prescribing privileges. He is also an active member of the Utah Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
As a communications graduate, Dr. Peirce takes pride in spending time educating and learning from patients. Besides optometry, Dr. Peirce enjoys sports of all kinds (either as a spectator or player) and backpacking in the Uinta mountain range. Most of his spare time, however, is contentedly spent at home with his three children and wife, Jocelyn.
Linsey Jackson, Office Manager
If you have insurance, billing, contact lens, or optical questions, Linsey has your answers. Linsey came to us from a pediatric dental office almost two years ago. Since then, she has put her experience to work for our patients . Whether you need help selecting frames and lenses, learning how to care for contact lenses, or determining your insurance coverage, Linsey is prepared to help you.
Besides providing excellent care for our patients, Linsey enjoys paintballing with her husband, Christmas music (especially Kenny G!?), and showing off her puppy, Kodie.
Toni Hudson, Patient Specialist
Our newest employee, Toni brings a wealth of experience into our office. Though new to the care side of eyecare, she has been a patient for years. She knows what its like to try new contacts, undergo specialty eye tests, and adapt to new glasses. Toni's easygoing attitude will put you at ease whether you're calling to setup an appointment or coming in for your Lasik post-operative care.
When not with her daughters or grandchildren, Toni and her husband can often be found fishing and camping at Strawberry Reservoir, accompanied by their cocker spaniel, Chloe.
Spencer D. Johnson, O.D.
Doctor Johnson, another local product, graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience. In 2005, he he received a degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry as a Doctor of Optometry. Immediately after graduation, he established South Hills Family Eye Care in Draper, Utah.
In November of 2008 Dr. Johnson accepted a position at a refractive surgery center in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Johnson regrets having to leave his patients at South Hills but knows they will continue to be well taken care of. The responsibility of care of his patients has been turned over to Dr. Peirce.
